Resco

Resco helps companies work more efficiently in the field with low-code tools for building mobile apps. It lets companies quickly build and deploy mobile apps that work even without an internet connection, so their mobile teams can work with customer data anywhere in the field.
Visit WebsiteThe technology company Resco decided to redesign its website so that it would better reflect its identity, improve the user experience and support lead generation.
The problem
The existing solution had started to hit its limits in terms of:
- code quality,
- structure and thousands of pages,
- content management using shortcodes,
- a custom theme with many plugins and customised functions
This led to complicated maintenance and inefficient development. It also slowed the content team down when creating new pages and tied marketing’s hands when launching campaigns.
Resco approached us with the ambition of taking its website to the level of modern technology companies: higher-performing, clearer and strongly focused on conversions. They needed a partner who could handle technical improvements, a strategic UX/UI redesign and long-term development.
The solution
At SmartBase, we took a comprehensive approach to the project: from a detailed technical audit, through the design of a new user journey and visual design, to continuous optimisation. Our combination of technical know-how, experience with WordPress and a focus on performance and code quality was the key to a successful, long-term partnership.
Design
The aim was to redesign the Resco website so that it would communicate the value of the products more clearly and increase conversions. We created an extensive design library in Figma, divided into:
- Fundamentals: colours, typography, iconography and the visual identity of the products,
- Components: buttons, forms, cards and other reusable elements,
- Sections: configurable sections that reflect the options of the WordPress admin.
Every element was designed for both desktop and mobile. From these components, we put together dozens of templates for all the key subpages.
Development
Development was based on the Bedrock architecture with Composer and a Git workflow, hosted on Kinsta, which ensured stability and keeps the site easy to manage in future.
We built all modules as Gutenberg blocks and migrated the original shortcodes into the block structure. This allowed us to convert thousands of existing pages automatically. The modular system enabled Resco to quickly create and edit a large number of unique subpages according to current business needs.
Deployment and support
Deployment was gradual: first the key subpages, then the whole website. Using a reverse proxy, we securely connected the old and new systems without disrupting navigation or SEO.
After the launch, we extended the website with multilingual support (WPML + automatic translations) and gradually added further modules and templates that support Resco’s continued growth.
What results did the partnership deliver?
Visitors interact more and respond more actively to the content.
Users stay on the website longer and browse more sections.
Improved content and UX brought measurable growth in business opportunities.
Content creation is now up to 3× faster
The new website brought a fresh, modern user experience that faithfully reflects the values of the Resco brand. SmartBase prepared all the graphic assets and also handled the development, resulting in a technically sophisticated and visually consistent solution. Dynamic elements such as video banners, interactive carousels, accordions and social proof gave the website energy and reinforced a credible first impression. As a result, the website now represents the brand far better and naturally draws visitors’ attention.
Soon after the new version of the website went live, it became clear that visitors were responding much better to the improved content and structure. The website started bringing in more relevant enquiries and the overall quality of leads rose markedly. Modernised page layouts, clearer conversion elements and a smoother user journey helped turn ordinary traffic into far more valuable business opportunities.
Thanks to a clearer structure, simpler management and technical optimisations that we at SmartBase designed and implemented, the internal workload of the web development team fell by 50%. This significant drop immediately freed up capacity for more strategic, higher-value tasks.
At the same time, we made creating new pages and content three times faster. The marketing team can now spend more time on strategy, performance and content quality rather than on technical upkeep.
